Filey is a beautiful seaside town on the north east coast of Yorkshire. In 2018, it's beach was voted the best in the country. The pretty town of Filey, which sits above the beach, has numerous shops, cafes and Public Houses. There are two large carparks just outside the town centre, and the town itself has two formal garden areas plus a larger park, golf course and bowling green.
With many B & B's and several large caravan parks, Filey is a popular holiday destination for tens of thousands of vacationers. It also has a significant local population and an active community with many clubs and activities.
There are many good reasons to visit Filey - It has stunning beaches (Cayton and Hunmanby are close to the main beach), coastal and country walks and many cafes and restaurants, of which Amparian is the only one offering Spanish cuisine in the typical Spanish Tapas style.
Within a short distance of Filey you will find Scarborough, Bridlington, Whitby and Robin Hoods Bay, all popular with holiday makers. There are also several walks that are close to the town.
Filey is a perfect vacation destination for all the family and can be used as a base, or a centre, for a memorable stay on the beautiful Yorkshire coast.
